GLUTEN FREE BROWNIE : Discovering the delicious world of Gluten Free desserts.

Desserts are a delicious way to end a meal or enjoy a sweet treat at any time of the day. However, for people following a gluten-free diet, it can often be a challenge. Fortunately, in recent years, awareness of the importance of gluten-free desserts has grown significantly, and there are more and more options for those who must or choose to avoid gluten.

Today I’d like to share this gluten-free recipe that you can enjoy at any time of the day, whether it’s for breakfast, mid-afternoon or as an elegant petit four to top off a meal.

Ingredients:

  • 200 gr dark chocolate
  • 200 gr of butter at room temperature
  • 200 gr of powdered almonds
  • 200 grams of sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup of strong coffee (Optional)

Preparation:

  • Start by melting the chocolate over low heat in a bain-marie until completely melted. Then, mix it with a cup of coffee and the butter.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk the egg yolks with the sugar. Whisk until the mixture becomes paler and acquires a smooth, frothy texture.
  • Add the chocolate and coffee mixture to the egg yolks and sugar mixture. Stir well to make sure everything is fully integrated. Then add the finely ground almonds, which will add a unique touch of flavor and texture to your cake.
  • In another bowl, beat the egg whites until they reach stiff peaks. Now add the whipped egg whites to the chocolate, egg yolk and almond mixture. Use a kitchen tongue and make gentle encircling movements so as not to lose the lightness of the whipped egg whites.
  • Pour the mixture into a round cake pan or into smaller molds if you prefer to prepare petit four portions.
  • Preheat the oven to 200º (or 180º if you use small pans).
  • Bake the cake for about 40 minutes if it is a large cake, or about 15 minutes if you have chosen small pans.
